College Case Competition

2024 IREM Dallas College Case Competition.
Students Teams from the University of Texas at Dallas and the University of North Texas competed in the IREM Dallas Case Competition and presented their Case to our real estate professional judges on October 25, 2024 at Granite Park Three, 5601 Granite Parkway, Plano. Watch these impressive presentations for yourself: IREM 2024 Case Competition

Developed and coordinated by IREM Dallas leadership and volunteers, the purpose of the case competition is to expose undergraduates to commercial real estate, the occupation of property management and IREM. 2024's Competition focused on an industrial property for a specific case study. Teams from each University, with the support of industry coaches, had about a month to prepare a strategy and presented to a panel of judges for an opportunity to win a $5,000 prize! UTD was selected as the winner with each of the team members receiving an equal share of the prize money. UNT truly impressed as well and it was a very close competition. These bright young professionals are the future in Real Estate, and we at IREM Dallas could not be more proud...

About the Competition
IREM Dallas Chapter sponsors an annual real estate management case competition for undergraduate students at local universities. We are pleased to again congratulate UTD for their 2024 win and UNT for a truly impressive showing. 2023's competition was won by the team from the UTD with a case loosely based on the IREM MPSA Management Plan. Fellow teams from UNT and SMU each also provided compelling presentations, reinforcing that our industry will be in good hands in the future of these bright and motivated students.
Our objective is to provide a valuable learning experience for students and insight into a possible career opportunity in property management. For those seeking additional information on how to support or have a team compete in the Case Competition, please reach out to our VP of College Outreach, Jackie Dalsimer ([email protected]) and our VP of Case Competition, Christie Clenney ( [email protected]).
